I’m not sure what made it to work but the info posted by tredegar is really important! I then tried installing a 32bit version of Ubuntu on my server, and now the printer did work. Visit the following links: Routing, network cards, OSI, etc.

Maybe windows is doing something to the printer’s LAN address. Having a problem logging in? The weird thing is I can print all of them if the first print job comes from Ptouch Editor Windows.

Do you have it set to a static IP? Prior to buying the printer I did contact brother qql580n who, within a very helpful response, told me that the printer worked as a network printer with the older product’s driver, but not over USB.
