The other key issue I found was that being further out seemed allow more light to reflect off my glasses and again affect the viewfinder resolution. Not overly impressed with that. Extender in the name of this product means the existing rubber eyecup is removed from the viewfinder, the EP-EX15 is installed and the existing rubber eyecup is attached to the EP-EX I ordered this because I do event photography and shoot with a manual flash. It rattles around a lot now since the innards have been removed, and the clips that attach it to the body of the camera aren’t the strongest, but I’ve noticed my composition has improved now that I have the new perspective, so it’s all worth it to me. Also with intense shooting, fatigue keeps my face back so I can’t see the entire image while shooting at times. I would say that I just have a regular sized nose for a 5′ fellow, but I still always leave nose marks on the viewscreen. It gives me space between my face and the data-back accessory. I saw this on a friend’s camera and tried it out.

Overall, great product and my face feels much better and I can see the entire image through an entire shoot. This modification takes a minute at most, and it caanon take any more canom to put it back the way it’s supposed to be, if you don’t like it. There was a problem filtering reviews right now. It does work well but you would probably like to remove the inner lens as it reduces the viewfinder image being already small for an SL1besides that it holds firmly to the camera and it looks good.
