This step is optional, but I highly recommend it. Subtract 3 hours for non-ideal conditions etc wild guess My needs were served better with my multimeter, so I dismantled it and harvested the tubes. You could use an inexpensive Nixie tube. The stamp 2 would be much smaller. They come in glass cylinders Hence tubes and have one anode and several cathodes, each of which is shaped into a digit to be displayed. Put the potentiometer in between one of the leads and the nixie tube, and adjust as needed.

The latest in the long list of uses is to create nixie tube drivers. Sorry for not showing pictures of the calibration process, dsposable this circuit blew out my multimeter when I accidentally created a short circuit. I have heard that the only company which still makes nixie tubes a Russian firm has increased production because of the resurgent interest in them.
Sounds like an interesting project bassmaster, it would be great if you could share your project when you complete it. Because of this, they have been harvested for nixiee projects.
Then I melted the bottom out of a film can and managed to fit it in if I squashed it a bit Haven’t tested that yet, but let’s see: Those are neat where famera you get some?
The gap between cathode and anode in the vacuum tube of the Nixie tube could function as an RF emitter. By using our website and services, you expressly agree to the disposqble of our performance, functionality and advertising cookies.
If you want more details, you should probably ask Bean for his two-hour answer [noparse]: This can be done by touching both wires coming out of the bottom of the capacitor with a screwdriver or other metal object.
Thanks for all the info and patience. I don’t think very much I’ll check. In the interest of maximizing safety, I chose to put the circuit back into the camera’s shell. You can use any resistance over 50Kohms, but the lower the resistance, the faster the circuit will decrease to a safe voltage.
Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in: That’s the simple explanation.
Back when I was young and took everything camerz I could get my hands on, I found this fact out the hard way. When the camera is on, the high voltage is present, so please exercise caution when using this. Do not touch the capacitor or the flash circuit at this point, it may still have energy stored that could electrocute you. Which isn’t too bad I guess. Once disposablee expose the capacitor, I highly recommend discharging it. Nixies have one electrode shaped like each digit, so it would only take two wires to light a single digit.
Experiment with your own tubes use the multimeter here.

I used a PC as my frequency generator. Learn how your comment data is processed. The black wire will connect to the lead beneath the stripe, and the red wire will connect to disposwble other lead.
His high voltage vacuum tube “nixie tube” sounds and looks a lot like a mini rife tube: With my INA tubes, Kohms pass about. A mini Rife machine!
